Examples for the poetry unit!

These are some great examples of poetry written by BIPOC authors that can be used in the poetry unit. Many of these tackle real-life problems that people of color face even today. These are a great way to give your students mirrors and windows: mirrors so students of color can see themselves reflected in great works, and windows for other students to look into the voices of other cultures.
